Most of these celebrations include the arts, so people can expect to see fairs, workshops, art exhibitions, and theater performances. Turkmenistan is known for a number of different exciting applied arts. The most interesting are the Turkmen carpets, footwear, and headwear that can be seen being sold on the street. Other types of arts that can be found include metal embossing and/or chasing, ceramics, making jewelry, embroidery in gold and silk, leatherwork, and wood carving. Silk weaving is also a popular art form in the country and can be found at stalls and shops during this holiday.
